A huge congratulations to Jason Pollack of Jim’s Pool Care Central Coast for winning the 2022 Franchisor of the Year Award! Jason has had a busy year this year and we look forward to seeing his growth which is sure to continue.
We asked Jason how he felt about winning the Franchisor of the Year award for the second time, after only just a few years of looking after his region’s Franchisees:
“I am absolutely humbled to have won this year’s National Franchisor of the year award for Jim’s Pool Care Australia. Being a Franchisor is a mixture of positions both professionally and personally, filled with a mixture of emotions. In my experience it’s my franchisees that make it all worthwhile.
Each and every one of them are individuals with separate personalities and goals but all share the passion of Customer service and Pools. But when needed they come together to assist each other without any demands or requests in return. They are truly an example of what a successful team is and it’s an absolute pleasure to be part of their journey and to steer the ship.”
Jim’s Pool Care currently has 13 Franchisors, each of them looking after a region in Australia, with their own individual Franchisees underneath them. Franchisors are responsible for recruiting new Franchisees, supporting them throughout the training program, helping them to find work and providing practical business advice.
In our experience, we find that the most successful Franchisors are the ones who can not only learn the practical industry knowledge of pool maintenance and pool equipment solutions, but also have sound business management and interpersonal skills. They also enjoy the challenge of helping their Franchisee’s in whatever way they can, to ultimately meet their personal goals. To a large extent, a Franchisor is a mentor and advocate for their Franchisees, working with local industry experts and suppliers to make sure they have everything they need to succeed.
