Jim’s Wins: Queensland SPASA Awards 2017

Jim’s Pool Care Sunshine Coast has been recognised for outstanding achievements in pool service, technical expertise and retail operations at the 2017 Queensland SPASA Awards of Excellence held on 3rd June at Royal on the Park in Brisbane.

The SPASA Excellence Awards is the night of nights for the swimming pool and spa industry in Queensland as it comes together to celebrate excellence in swimming pool construction, service and supply.  Each year SPASA members compete for recognition of the outstanding work they perform for their clients.

Stephen Cluff & Robyn Etheridge, owners of Jim’s Pool Care on the Sunshine Coast were ecstatic to take home not just one, but three, industry awards this year in recognition of their dedication and excellence in the pool service industry.  They were awarded three prestigious titles on the night:

2017 SPASA Gold Award for Excellence in Pool & Spa Service of the Year

2017 SPASA Bronze Award for Excellence as Pool & Spa Service Technician of the Year

2017 SPASA Gold Award for Excellence as Retailer of the Year

Stephen says, “We are absolutely thrilled to have been presented with three awards from SPASA.  It is great acknowledgment for our team who have aspired to be the best and dedicated themselves to the challenge.  We have put a lot of effort into our business on the Sunshine Coast and we are so glad to receive recognition from the industry.”

Jim’s Pool Care is a true Mobile Pool Shop and have Australia’s pools covered in all major cities in all areas of pool cleaning, maintenance, heating, inspections, lighting, pool blankets, and robotic cleaners.  Stephen has been operating Jim’s Pool Care on the Sunshine Coast for over seven years, starting off with one man and a van.  Robyn then took on the business accounting, and together they put on their first team member three years ago.  Jim’s Pool Care Sunshine Coast now has three technicians, three vehicles and two office staff.

Owner and General Manager of Jim’s Pool Care Australia, Brett Blair, was delighted with the result for Jim’s Pool Care Sunshine Coast.  He says, “Customer service is critical to the success of our businesses and Stephen and Robyn have built a solid reputation for providing the best service and technical advice when it comes to pool maintenance and supplies.”

Brett has seen the national franchise chain grow from around 30 to 92 franchisees and 13 Regionals Franchisors over his eight years in the role.  He states, “We are always looking for people that are motivated to get into business for themselves, have a positive attitude and are able to build their own business with our systems.  I am very proud of Stephen, Robyn and the team at Jim’s Pool Care Sunshine Coast– they have built a first-class service for pool owners in the area and they truly deserve the Awards”.
