Two months into our relationship, after a chance meeting in San Antonio that led to falling in love in Mexico, JT flew to Australia for the first time. We visited the Central Coast and started envisioning what life here could look like.

Fast forward two years – after navigating distance, travel, visas, and relocations – those days spent daydreaming are now our beautiful reality. We moved to the Central Coast in December with our King Charles Cavalier and love exploring local spots. From 12+ hr shift work (rotating across days and nights) in Houston, Texas we knew when JT moved to Australia we wanted more flexibility in both work hours, lifestyle, location and future travel. We wanted to move to the Central Coast for the outdoor and active lifestyle, and beautiful beaches. The friendly local, community feel was very appealing to us. We researched what career changes could support these goals and allow us to build something together. We discovered Jim’s Group and researched several different options. Jim’s Pool Care quickly stood out as the most appealing as it closely aligned to JT’s extensive chemical industry experience and experience in fixing pumps and equipment. The regular, repeatable servicing work and pool chemical supplies was very appealing, plus the ability to grow with our customers and support their future needs to keep their pools sparkling – including servicing, repairs and replacement of equipment. We purchased our business with 35 initial customers and got to work in learning about their pools, equipment and how we can best support them in keeping their pools healthy and crystal clear, year round, once we completed our intensive head office, online and in-the-field training.
